How can barbara gordon walk again

As Oracle , she has become such a strong character and support character to just about every other character in the DCU. Besides, for a guy who works alone , he's got a pretty big family She should get her legs but not the Batgirl costume, she should remain been the Oracle but an Oracle that can kick anyone's ass..

Yes But G man is right she should not become bat girl again because like dick grayson who went from robin the boy wonder to nightwing she becaome a hero in here own way. It would be pretty surprising if Barbara walked again. From what I know DC wants Oracle as their handicap superhero. I think she should but thats cause I had a father who lost his legs and was a military man at that so speaking from a real human experience after putting your life on the line time and time again even when she could have just given up and never done it again.

Hell Yeah let Barb do some dancing I am sure Nightwing is hurting right now. It's great if people in wheelchairs can relate to her. Just like we have characters of other races.

It does bother me when it's obvious that the character is meant to appease certain groups. I just think Barbara is her own character. I don't know if she should be the poster superhero for disabled people. Then again, she has been doing fine for the last 21 years.

It's a tough call. Please Log In to post. This edit will also create new pages on Comic Vine for:. Until you earn points all your submissions need to be vetted by other Comic Vine users. After working as Oracle for a time, Barbara was able to undergo a form of physical therapy which eventually allowed her to walk once again with the help of a technological implant.

The justification for her return to crimefighting in terms of storytelling was simple: she was the most famous iteration of Batgirl. While this has been faced with the aforementioned criticism, Barbara's paralysis was also faced with scrutiny to begin with. Some critics claimed that immobilizing Barbara Gordon did the character a disservice, especially when Batman himself famously had his back broken by Bane and was able to recover without being confined to a wheelchair for a significant period of time.

Gotham Knights takes place in its own continuity entirely and is not related to the New 52, no matter how much inspiration it ends up taking from that run of comics. It is likely that Barbara's paralysis will be canon in her backstory, however, with a unique perspective and an explained recovery. Batgirl's in-game abilities include hacking technology to create environmental weapons, which also makes it seem likely that she's already able to draw on her experience as Oracle.

It's also likely that technology will be behind her recovery in some way, with the Bat family clearly having access to extremely powerful tech. Skip to main content area. Photo: WB Games.
