Truly a great doctor. The actress confessed that brain surgery made her nervous, but her friends, family and work family were so supportive and kind. Fingers crossed I can suddenly knit a sweater in 1 day. Ooo maybe 1 hour. The time line is that Kirsten had her surgery at the very beginning of June. But, at least several weeks seems logical. Of course, it could be longer. So, we might be looking at around four weeks with no Maxie Jones. However, the showrunners are good at making things work.
And they barely skipped a beat for that. Maxie Jones fans are showing a ton of love and support to Kirsten Storms. And everyone wishes her a speedy recovery. The General Hospital actress is doing great and eager to get back to work. At that point, the story took a twist big enough to be worthy of the ABC soap. In the meantime, however… play sweetly, people.

On Monday, June 26, the Soap Opera Network announced that Storms, 37, will be taking a temporary leave of absence while she focused on her recovery. She last appeared on the July 19 episode of daytime drama, during which Maxie leaving with her baby from Port Charles to Texas for an unknown amount of time.
