Is Cyborg a teenager? Before Cyborg became, well, a cyborg, he was a regular teenager named Victor Stone who was a star football player. The show actually hints at his real name a couple of times. Does cyborg eat? Cyborg can definitely do the chewing part , but he probably won't be able to carry out the excretion process. Who is cyborgs arch enemy? Why did Cyborg join the Justice League?
Here he was not part of Teen Titans but faced an inter-dimensional accident during Darkseid's Invasion, that turns him into Cyborg, as an attempt by his father to save his life.
What is a cyborg? However, in a technical sense, humans can be seen as cyborgs in various types of situations, including the use of artificial implants. Why is cyborg in Doom Patrol? Cyborg is finally making his grand debut on DC Universe, but not where fans initially expected to see him. What is Cyborg's weakness? His greatest weakness is actually trying not to succumb to the technology.
Trying to stay human. While the character of Cyborg has been around since , he has really come into his own in the modern era, when the information age has made the character a serious data cruncher. In his original incarnation, he was visiting his parents' lab when an experiment in inter-dimensional travel went awry.
A monster crossed over through a portal and mutilated Victor, which led to his father turning him into a cyborg. The New 52 version from from which the film takes some direct inspiration is directly tied to the Justice League. In this origin, Victor is blasted with interdimensional energy from an Apokoliptian Boom Tube, pretty much ripping him to pieces.
It's not too hard to understand why Justice League opted to change how Cyborg gets injured. Getting your life ruined by an unpredictable car crash is a bit more relatable than having your atoms blasted by an alien portal. Plus, the time frame of the DCEU means that Cyborg has to already be Cyborg before the movie starts, so the direct Apokolips ties don't really work.
Instead, we're getting a reference to it in the form of Silas Stone using a motherbox - which is going to prove to be very important in the Zack Snyder blockbuster. After all, we've learned that there are multiple motherboxes set up around Earth see also the Wonder Woman epilogue , and they will have a role to play in bringing Steppenwolf Ciaran Hinds and his army of Parademons to our planet. We'll have to wait until Justice League is released before we learn the full details of Cyborg's origins, but we do already know that it was some car crash.
He even meets his best friend, Beast Boy, among the ranks of the Teen Titans. Though Victor is still young, his maturity helps him stand tall among these six other icons.
Despite Cyborg's struggle with his enhancements, the powers they give him are nothing short of incredible. Cyborg is not only one of the most powerful Titans, but also one of the most powerful Justice League members. Cyborg can interface with practically any computer or piece of technology.
This allows him to extrapolate data from anywhere, which gives him an enormous advantage as a hero. Perhaps even more interesting is his ability known as technopathy. He also has the ability to technomorph, meaning he can assimilate technology with his own body to either repair himself, gain knowledge, or gain a new ability. Like many other heroes, Cyborg has died and come back in the comics. Given that his body is vulnerable to viruses, Cyborg's mind has been taken over several times before.
One of the first times Cyborg was rebuilt after "death," he lost his mind because of Russian scientists who captured him and altered his mind to suit their needs. Fortunately, his mind was restored later by an intelligent race of aliens named the Technis. Though they had healed him, Vic was forced to integrate his mind with the Technis planet, made solely from technology. Eventually, the Teen Titans were able to unlock his mind and download it onto a new body. This body was known as the Omegadrome, an old warsuit used by the ex-Titan Minion.
Finally, Victor was able to morph with a human clone of his former self-made by Nightwing. The combination between the Omegadrome and his clone helped shape Cyborg into the half-man half-machine he once was. Known for being a team player, whether on the Justice League or the Teen Titans, Cyborg has also been a leader many times. Not only does being a founding members of the Justice League in the New 52 establish him as a leader, but his role in later incarnations of the Teen Titans help do the same.
Being an original member of the Teen Titans, Cyborg is well-respected and liked by both the original Titans as well as the newer members. He not only leads this new team of Titans, but grows in strength and skill as well, cementing his place at the head of the team. Not only does he take the leadership roles in the Titans and Justice League, but Cyborg never shies away from the challenge of leading and coordinating other heroes. Thanks in part to his increased intelligence, but also to his time as a star football player, Victor is well-suited to lead those around him.
